Minecraft's armor looks cool, but why not make it look cooler? By applying an armor trim to your armor pieces with a smithing table, you can level up your appearance!ย

To put a trim on your armor, you will need a smithing table! To craft one, place a square of 4 planks of any wood type in a square, topped by 2 iron ingots, and then you will get a smithing table! Now place it down.
To begin, place the armor that you would like to be patterned in the central slot of the smithing table. Now put the armor trim in the left slot, withย 1 of the 11 available trimming materials in the right. Now in the far right slot, your trimmed armor will appear!
There are 18 armor trims in minecraft, all providing unique patterns. They are normally obtained from chest loot in specific structures!
Different materials can be applied with armor trims. There are 11 in total, including resin, which is not in the image above.
